The DOJO Bar was back for a very special party in Aurora, Canada on October 1st, 2022!
After 2 years of hiatus due to Corona we were so happy to be to rekindle the spirit of the DOJO Bar, “ichyariba chodei” at this awesome event. James was there behind the bar mixing up DOJO Bar classic cocktails and with DOJO Bar original goods on hand. 80+ attendees came from far and wide to take part in the seminar program and after party.
The DOJO Bar party followed a wonderful day of martial arts seminars featuring Okinawan karate and Maori martial arts, a first outside of New Zealand. In the morning everyone got stuck into several hours of pushing hands and kumite practice, followed by practice in the Maori fighting traditions including hakka practice, Taiha stick fighting techniques and team-based fighting strategies.
